OPEN BREWERY TOUR FOR EVERYONE
VARIOUS DATES | THURSDAYS, FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS
Beer is made from water, malt, hops and yeast.
You know that for sure.
But how exactly does this incredible variety of flavours in different beer styles come about?
To do this, you need a few more ingredients: craftsmanship, scientific meticulousness and a pinch of adventure.
Let’s go!
During the tour of our brewery in Berlin-Mitte, we will show you how much work, but also research and inventive spirit, goes into the brewing process. You will follow the beer’s journey from the brewhouse to the bottling plant. You will also get a brief overview of the history of beer brewing and learn about the craft beer movement. After the tour, you will know how the diverse flavours in beer are created and what distinguishes the most important beer styles from one another. Of course, you can ask anything you have always wanted to know about beer brewing.
Logical: no theory without practice!
During the tour, we will sample various selected Lemke beers.

OUR FAQ
Here you will find frequently asked questions about our brewery tours. Can’t find your question here? Write to us: Write to us: brauereifuehrung@lemkeberlin.com!
What is an "open brewery tour for everyone" and what is a "private brewery tour" at Lemke Berlin?
The “open tour for everyone” is a brewery tour that you can sign up for alone, in pairs, in groups of three… up to a maximum of six people. This creates a colourful group of up to 20 participants who visit our Lemke Berlin brewery in Mitte and take part in the beer tasting. The size of the group on each date depends on the number of registrations for the brewery tour. Only the minimum number of participants is fixed: the open tour takes place with a minimum of 5 registered participants.
A “private tour” is booked just for you and your group (family, friends, team, colleagues, etc.). Your guide will cater to your specific interests and focus areas. We recommend private tours for 10 or more people. Of course, you can also book a private tour for two, three or five people. However, the minimum charge for 10 people will still apply.
What is meant by "compact tour" as opposed to normal tours?
As the name suggests, this tour format is more condensed. The compact tours last 60 minutes, including a small beer tasting. You will still see the various stages of production, but your guide will not go into quite as much detail about the secrets of beer brewing. At the end of the tour, you will taste three selected Lemke beers.
We currently only offer these compact tours for individual groups. They are ideal for teams, companies or travel groups who have already had a few items on their itinerary and are looking for an entertaining highlight. Before or after the tour, you could, for example, enjoy a delicious meal in our Lemke restaurants next door! We strongly recommend reserving a table in advance.
My voucher code is not working - what should I do?
Did you enter the code in the correct place in the booking system?
Our booking tool allows codes to be used in two places during the booking process.
a) When selecting people
Once you have selected the number of people for whom you would like to purchase a tour ticket, the line “Add promotional or discount code” will be displayed for each person. Click on it and you can enter a voucher code for each person. If you have received a voucher for a brewery tour as a gift, this is the right place to enter the code.
b) Before paying
To the left of the total amount for your booking, you will see the line “Apply a gift card”. Click on it and you can enter a gift card code that will be applied to the total amount of your booking.
For example, you may have received a gift card if you had to cancel a previous ticket and the amount you originally paid was credited to you in the form of a gift card.
Neither of the two options described worked?
Don’t panic! It is possible that you have an “old” voucher code. We have been using the booking tool for tours since July 2023. All codes (gift cards or vouchers) issued before July 2023 for brewery tours must first be “activated” manually. Please send us the complete code you have to sales@lemkeberlin.com. We will make it “bookable”.
How long is a voucher valid from purchase?
Would you like to buy a voucher for a tour and are wondering how long it is valid for?
The voucher for a tour of our brewery is valid for four years from the date of purchase. You should be able to find a suitable date within this period, shouldn’t you 😉 ?
Can I cancel my booked place on a brewery tour?
For individual tickets as part of an “open tour for everyone”, you can rebook to another date or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour start date. You will then receive a voucher for your next booking.
If you have booked an individual (exclusive) group tour, you can cancel up to 72 hours before the start date.
You can read all the details in our terms and conditions of participation and cancellation (available here as a PDF).
I need an invoice for the brewery tour - how do I get it?
For every booking made via the booking platform, you will receive a booking receipt listing the cost of the tour, the number of people, the system fee for the booking platform and tax. For private individuals, this is usually fine. Für Privatpersonen passt das in der Regel.
If you also require an invoice that is acceptable to the tax office, please contact us at sales@lemkeberlin.com or indicate this directly when booking.
Please note: We can only issue invoices for services provided by us (brewery tour/voucher).
What is this system fee that is added to the ticket price?
This fee remains as a booking fee with the FareHabor platform, which organises ticket sales for our tours and admission. It is comparable to the fees charged by other ticket platforms for advance ticket sales, e.g. Eventim.
Please note: We can only issue invoices for services provided by us (brewery tour/voucher). Unfortunately, we cannot issue invoices for system/booking fees paid directly to the booking platform provider FareHarbor B.V., Vijzelstraat 66-80, 1017 HL, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Is there anything to eat during the tour?
Our tour guides are knowledgeable and experienced, but they cannot serve you food. We recommend that you enjoy a delicious meal before or after the tour. Das Lemke and Biermeisterei by Lemke are both located right next door. It is best to reserve a table in advance.
- Book a table in “Das Lemke”
- Book a table in “Biermeisterei by Lemke”
Where does the tour of the brewery start?
The meeting point for the tour is directly on the brewery grounds. You can reach this meeting point either through the main gate of the brewery at Rochstraße 6a, 10178 Berlin: simply walk along the arches to the beer tables/courtyard sales area. Or you can come via the beer garden of the restaurant “Das Lemke” at Dircksenstraße, S-Bahnbogen 138, 10178 Berlin and walk through the small wooden gate at the end of the beer garden. Then walk a few metres past the containers and you will be at the meeting point. The location of the meeting point is marked on Google Maps.
