OPEN BREWERY TOUR FOR EVERYONE

VARIOUS DATES | START: 4 OR 6 P.M.

Beer is made from water, malt, hops and yeast. We are sure you know that. But how exactly does this incredible variety of flavors in the different beer styles come about? This requires a few more ingredients: craftsmanship, scientific meticulousness and a pinch of adventure. Let’s go!

During the tour of our brewery in Berlin-Mitte, we will show you how much work, but also how much research and inventive spirit is behind the brewing process. You follow the beer’s journey from the brewhouse to bottling. You will get a brief overview of the history of beer brewing and find out what the craft beer movement is all about. After the tour, you will know how the diverse aromas in beer are created and what distinguishes the most important beer styles from one another. Of course you can ask everything you ever wanted to know about brewing beer.

Sure: no theory without practice! We taste various selected Lemke beers as part of the tour.

PRIVATE TOUR

POSSIBLE FOR GROUPS OF UP TO 20 PEOPLE

Are you already a group of 8, 9 or 10 people minimum? Family, company, team, some friends?
You can book an exclusive private tour directly via the following link:

OUR FAQs

Here you will find frequently asked questions about our tours of the brewery. Is your question not included? Write an e-mail to: brauereifuehrung@lemkeberlin.com!

What is an "open tour for everyone" and what is a "private tour"?

The “open tour for everyone” is a brewery tour for which you can register alone, in pairs, in threes… to a maximum of six people. The result is a diverse group of up to 20 participants who visit our Lemke Berlin brewery in Mitte and take part in the beer tasting. The size of the group on each date depends on the number of people who register for the tour of the brewery. Only the minimum number of participants is fixed: The open tour takes place from 5 registered persons.

You book an “exclusive private tour” just for you and your group (family, friends, team, employees, etc.). Your guide will focus on your particular interests and priorities. We recommend private tours for 10 or more people. Of course, you can also book a private tour for two, three or five people only. But there is always the minimum turnover that would arise for 10 people.

What is meant by "compact tour" as opposed to the normal tours?

As the name suggests, this tour format is more compact. The compact tours last 60 minutes including a small beer tasting. You will also see the various production steps, but your guide will not go into quite as much detail about the secrets of brewing beer. At the end of the tour you will taste three selected Lemke beers.

We currently only offer the compact tours for individual groups. They are ideal for teams, companies or travel groups who have already had a few program points and are looking for an entertaining highlight. Before or after, you could go for a delicious meal in our Lemke restaurants next door! We strongly recommend reserving a table in advance.

My voucher code is not working - what should I do?

Have you entered the code in the right place in the booking system?

Our booking tool allows the use of codes in two places in the booking process.

a) when selecting the number of participants
Once you have selected the number of people for whom you would like to purchase a tour ticket, the line “Add promotion or discount code” will be displayed for each person. Click on it and you can enter a voucher code for each person. If you have been given a voucher for a brewery tour, then this is the right place to enter the code.

b) before payment
To the left of the total amount for your booking is the line “Apply a gift card”. Click on it and you can enter a gift card code that will be applied to the total amount of your booking.
You received a gift card, for example, if you had to cancel a previous ticket and the amount originally paid was credited to you in the form of a gift card.

Neither of the two options described worked?

Don’t panic! It is possible that you just have an “old” voucher code. We have been using the booking tool for the tours only since July 2023. All codes (gift cards or vouchers) issued for brewery tours before July 2023 must first be “activated” manually. Please send us the complete code that you have: sales@lemkeberlin.com. We make it “bookable”.

Can I cancel my booked place on a brewery tour?

In the case of individual tickets as part of an “open tour for all”, you can rebook them to another date or cancel them free of charge up to 24 hours before the start of the tour. You will then receive a voucher for your next booking.

If you have booked an individual (exclusive) group tour, you can cancel up to 72 hours before the start time of your tour.

You can read everything in detail in our Conditions of Participation and Cancellation(PDF here, German only, but we are working on it!).

I need an invoice for the brewery tour - how do I get it?

For each booking via the booking platform, you will receive a booking voucher showing the cost of the tour, number of people, system fee for the booking platform and tax. This is generally suitable for private individuals.
If you also require an invoice suitable for the tax office, please contact us at sales@lemkeberlin.com or indicate this directly when booking.

Please note: We can only issue an invoice for the service we have provided (brewery tour / voucher). Unfortunately, we cannot issue an invoice for any system/booking fees paid directly to the provider of the booking platform FareHarbor B.V., Vijzelstraat 66-80, 1017 HL, Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Is there anything to eat during the tour?

Our tour guides can and know a lot, but they can’t serve you a meal. We recommend going out for a tasty meal before or after the tour. “Das Lemke” or the “Biermeisterei by Lemke” are both right next door. It’s best to reserve a table!

Where does the tour of the brewery start?

The meeting point for the tour is directly on the brewery premises. You can reach this meeting point either through the main gate of the brewery at Rochstraße 6a, 10178 Berlin: Simply walk onto the premises along the arches to the beer tables / our direct sale shop. Or you can come via the beer garden of the restaurant “Das Lemke” in Dircksenstraße, S-Bahnbogen 138, 10178 Berlin and walk through the small wooden gate at the end of the beer garden. then a few meters past the containers and you’re at the meeting point. The location of the meeting point is marked on Google Maps.
